Los aceites para engranajes JAX Bio-Guard™ son lubricantes biodegradables EAL fabricados a partir de aceites base de éster sintético, saturados y de alto índice de viscosidad, fortificados con aditivos que ofrecen un alto rendimiento. Estos aceites están diseñados para reducir los costes de mantenimiento ampliando los intervalos de drenaje y protegiendo contra el desgaste, las picaduras y el óxido. Estos productos cumplen todas las definiciones y requisitos de los Lubricantes Ambientalmente Aceptables (EAL) definidos en el Permiso General para Buques de 2013 de la EPA de EE.UU., tal y como se describe en la sección 2.2.9 del VGP.
