Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with sales team and customers to troubleshoot equipment or lubricant failures by providing analysis and product recommendations
- Perform internal testing related to technical service requests, including comparative analysis, product cross references, compatibility, and failure analysis
- Generate customer-facing technical reports based on projects or TSR
- Work with JAX Sales Team and customers to interpret the TSR reports, results, and recommendations
- Establish protocols and perform trials at customer sites
- Document and follow-up on customer feedback on samples shipped for evaluation
- Research new technologies including chemicals, applications, and equipment by working with raw material suppliers, equipment manufacturers or online resources
- Present ideas for formulation improvements to Technical Director
- Provide JAX product recommendations or cross references to competitive products
- As the reactive technical representative, provide field support by troubleshooting at the customer level, identifying application needs and technical support
- Participate in and contribute to internal ISO audits
- Determine major lab policies or procedures through discussions with Technical Director
- Travel as required, approximately 25%

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry
- 3-5 years of laboratory or technical support experience
Equipment Used:
General lab testing equipment for quality control and research and development. Equipment may include:
- FTIR
- GC-MS
- ICP
- Kinematic Viscosity
- UV-VIS
- TGA
Work Environment:
Work in customer warehouse or production areas, helping to troubleshoot issues and perform trials. Will be exposed to varying temperature conditions, loud noise, moving machinery and fumes from production equipment. Lab work is typically performed in a clean, temperature-controlled environment. Exposure to chemicals, odors or fumes may be associated with the normal functions of the laboratory environment.
